    Greg Alzner joined Bankers’ Bank of the West in 2022 as a VP–Correspondent Services-Loans for community banks across Colorado. In addition to 24 years of experience in commercial and consumer banking as well as other functions, Greg brings a philosophy of client advocacy to his work—which entails learning about each community bank’s distinct markets, challenges, and aspirations.

    David started with Bankers' Bank of the West in 2013, and is focused on providing product education and business development assistance to community banks, with dual capacity roles as Vice President–Correspondent Services and Vice President–Business Development. With a commitment to fostering client relationships and enhancing the efficiency and profitability of community banks, David Philippi is a dedicated professional poised to graduate from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado in 2024.

    Heather Katz went to work for a wholesale mortgage company as a new college graduate in 2000. Her past roles in the financial services sector include credit analyst, loan coordination, and account manager. She next worked 15 years in the payments sphere doing fraud and risk review of merchants’ credit card processing and settlement operations.

Did you know….

“America The Beautiful” Was Inspired By Pikes Peak

English teacher Katharine Lee Bates visited Pikes Peak while staying in Colorado Springs in the late 1800s and was so inspired by the view that she wrote the poem that became the lyrics to “America the Beautiful.” The song almost became the United States’ national anthem, but lost out to the “Star Spangled Banner.”
